Located in the heart of downtown Detroit, the Pope Francis Center provides vital services to the city’s homeless.
On an average day, we welcome nearly 200 guests and provide them with nutritious meals, showers, laundry and access to doctors, dentists, lawyers, and housing providers through our free clinics.
We have been serving Detroit’s most vulnerable citizens for the past 30 years, and we’re committed to eradicating chronic homelessness by 2030.
We believe everyone deserves to live with dignity. That’s why we treat each of our guests with respect and offer unconditional support, along with nourishing meals, access to proper hygiene, clean clothes, free medical and dental care, and other vital services.
The chronically homeless face the greatest barriers to self-sustainability. Overcoming them requires intensive, all-encompassing support services that no organization in Detroit currently offers.
The Pope Francis Center is working to fill that gap. We have bold plans for a revolutionary, coordinated solution to chronic homelessness – our All the Way Home Bridge Housing project.
With temperatures reaching the single digits, Pope Francis Center is even more critical to the safety and survival of Detroit’s homeless. But we can’t do it without your support. Donate today to help save the lives of those that are most vulnerable.
