Located in the heart of downtown Detroit, Pope Francis Center provides vital services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
On an average day, we welcome nearly 200 guests and provide them with nutritious meals, showers, laundry, and access to doctors, dentists, lawyers, and housing providers through our free clinics.
We've been serving Detroit’s most vulnerable citizens since 1990, and we’re committed to eradicating chronic homelessness in our city.
We believe everyone deserves to live with dignity. That’s why we treat each of our guests with respect and offer unconditional support, along with nourishing meals, access to proper hygiene, clean clothes, free medical and dental care, and other vital services.
The chronically homeless face the greatest barriers to self-sustainability. Overcoming them requires intensive, all-encompassing support services that no organization in Detroit currently offers. Our Bridge Housing Campus—a revolutionary, coordinated solution to chronic homelessness—fills that gap.
